  Located in the Oak Knoll Appellation this estate winery is located on the grounds of a historic equestrian center. The rustic stone buildings called for a prominent entry including century-old olive trees, rustic stone walls, and a central fountain with a bronze horse sculpture. North of the main building is a large terrace for events and wine tasting. Under the large trellis, a Mediterranean garden with roses, ornamental grasses and showy vines border the large terrace. Along the north end of the terrace stretches a “petting” vineyard that allows visitors a chance to get close to and explore some of the vines that Black Stallion uses in its wine. vTA incorporated a design into the existing site that not only played off of its rustic beauty, but enhanced it to bring visitors in and provide them with a lasting impression.
